The Hospital District Board, whose Trustees are elected by the citizens of the Hospital District, acts as the landlord over the land and buildings and is responsible for maintenance, repair and improvements at SLMC.
South Lyon Health Center, Inc., the operating non-profit corporation, leases the establishment and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the medical facility.
These two boards have worked together since early 1990 when the non-profit corporation was created.Although their roles are often unique, they are both committed to providing quality healthcare to the residents of Mason and Smith Valley's and the surrounding area.
The Board of Trustees meet monthly in the hospital conference room. The public is encouraged to attend.
